The Kingdom of Union Jacks was founded in 2024 by Gordinator, His Majesty the King of the KUJ.
Houses of Parliament
The Houses of Parliament house the Parliament, consisting of various government departments. Despite the name, the KUJ is not a parliamentary democracy, however MPs are elected by the public.
Parliament is currently dissolved due to ongoing renovations to the Houses of Parliament. Furthermore, all MPs have been removed from office in order to allow new MPs to be elected.
Government Departments
- Attorney General's Office - Main legal advisor to Parliament and HM the King.
- Cabinet Office - Supports the Cabinet
- Department of Business and Trade - Ensuring business and trade in the KUJ is healthy
- Department of Culture, Media and Sport - Encouraging more KUJ cultural exports and investing in sports facilities nationwide
- Department of Education - Improving the KUJ's standard of education
- The National Archives - Archiving media for preservation
- Department of Environmental, Food, and Rural Affairs - Environmental protection, food production, anti-gentrification
- Department of Science, Innovations, and Technology - Investing in world-class science and technology facilities
- Department of Transport - Improving the intercity, national, and international transport networks
- Department of Work and Pensions - Welfare, pensions
- Department of Health and Social Care - Health and social care, e.g the NHS
- Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office - Foreign affairs office (not incl. Home Office)
- HM Treasury - Executing the Parliament's public financial policy
- Home Office - Immigration, security, law and order
- Ministry of Defense - Runs the military
- Ministry of Justice - Invest in the justice system to cut recidivism rates
- Charity Commission - Regulating registered charities
- Competition & Markets Authority - Breaking up monopolies and leveling the playing field
- Crown Prosecution Service - Criminal prosecutions
- Food Standards Agency - Ensuring food safety and protecting the public
- His Majesty's Revenue and Customs - Collecting taxes
